Option Description
Primary, Secodary,
Tertiary SNTP Servers This allows you to enter three different
SNTP server addresses. If one of these
servers is unavailable your modem
will use an alternative. An example
of an NTP server on the Internet is
128.250.36.3.
Timeout: The number of seconds your modem will
attempt to connect to an SNTP server
before trying an alternative server
should the server you are trying to con-
nect to be unavailable.
Polli Iterval: The interval that your modem will up-
date its time with an SNTP server.
Retry Cout: The number of attempts at connecting
to an SNTP server.
Time Zoe: Select the time zone you are in.
Day Liht: Enable this to enable daylight savings
for the time on your modem.
Click Apply to save the settings.
To check that your NB5Plus4/W modem is talking to an NTP server, follow these
instructions for Windows Operating Systems:
1. Open a Command Prompt (Start > Run > cmd).
2. Type telnet 192.168.1.1 (or the IP address of your modem) and enter.
3. Type your login and password.
Login: admin
Password: admin
4. date [ENTER key]
5. Note that the date is set correctly.
